All concerts take place at 8pm in the Recital Hall of the Simons Center for the Arts,
54 Saint Philip St., with the exception of Heart Strings II, which will take place at
4pm at
St Luke’s Chapel at MUSC, 181 Ashley Ave.

Acclaimed violinist Lee-Chin Siow, Gold Medal winner of the 1994 Henryk Szeryng International Violin Competition, opens the season with Peter Stumpf, Principal cellist of the LA Philharmonic and Professor of Cello at Indiana University. Completing the trio is renowned pianist Beatrice Long, whose eloquent musicianship has captivated audiences around the world. Enjoy the music of Beethoven, Strauss, Schoenfield and Vaughan Williams by this trio of Curtis Institute of Music alumni. All concert-goers are invited to a post-concert reception with dessert prepared by Charleston Chef Robert Dickson, and other treats. Generously made possible by Robert Dickson and Sarah Donnem. |

String virtuosos Lee-Chin Siow and Natalia Khoma team up with pianist Volodymyr Vynnytsky to celebrate spring with the music of Mozart and Chausson. The grace of Mozart’s trio soars above his dark moments of financial despair, while the Trio in G minor displays Chausson’s genius with its depth of feeling and sheer beauty. A concert not to be missed. |
