Guest Artists
After having performed together with great success for several years, David Gross, Deirdre Hutton, and Christopher Hutton founded the trio in 2008. The trio embarked on their first International tour in May of 2010, and has been lauded in The Christchurch Press as "a champion team, blending seamlessly together with no-one overshadowing the rest". All three members live in Greenville, South Carolina and teach at Furman University. The ensemble is named in honor of Joel Roberts Poinsett, a stateman, physician and botanist from South Carolina.

A message from
Lee-Chin and Natalia
We founded Charleston Music Fest six years ago to bring the finest classical and contemporary chamber music by world class artists to the Charleston we love. Our city’s beautiful landscapes inspire us as much as the music that we are passionate to share.
We welcome you warmly to this season’s concerts featuring more great artists who share our belief that art and nature fosters the growth of the human spirit. Our fest also aims to inspire students at the College of Charleston and in the wider community to strive for excellence, by opening doors for them to learn from outstanding professional musicians from all over the world. We are grateful to our patrons and sponsors for their support in making this possible. Whether you are coming to hear us for the first time, or have been a long-time friend, we invite you to return as often as possible.
